An Unplugged Childhood:Mom Say LEGO® Building Means Confident, Creative Kids.

Ontario, Canada’s Jenn Wagner, 39, restricts her kids’ TV-viewing to only one hour per week. To most, this unplugged lifestyle would be difficult . To Jenn and her family, it means time to contribute to what they’ve fondly dubbed The Land, the place where the family’s LEGO creations go to live. According to Jenn, each new creation large or small is seamlessly joined with the previous ones and integrated into the display, no matter the content, color or practicality. The family favorites? Star Wars™ models and free-form sculptures.

Jenn, who studied architecture in college, finds LEGO building with kids an important way to relax and be creative. “I love to emulate living things with LEGO. It is especially fascinating to me that you can take many rectangular pieces recreate amazingly natural curves and contours with them.” Perhaps more important, says mom, is the impact that this unplugged lifestyle has had on her two children. “Want confident and creative kids? Buy some LEGO bricks! Open the box and open your minds to all the possibilities it holds.”
